Ed.D. - Education Administration and Supervision
Basic Requirements for the Ed.D. Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision (54 credit hours minimum required beyond the Master’s degree).
In summary, the Ed.D. requires core courses in educational leadership, research methods courses, an internship, and a dissertation. A minimum of 54 credit hours beyond the master's degree is required for doctoral degrees. Students must be officially admitted to the Ed.D. program to enroll in doctoral classes. Students should be aware that a Ph.D. degree in Educational Research and Policy Analysis is also offered, but only the EdD leads to superintendent licensure.
