B2F Girls! is a Fierce Girl Empowerment Movement initiative that serves as a global resource for women with a calling to mentor girls. We specifically offer certification, training and support through our membership network.
Shekina was also recognized by Girls World Marketing Group as one of 50 Empowering Women Who Empower Girls, featured in Who's Who in Black Atlanta (16th edition) and honored with the Women of Impact Award by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NWGA Chapter).
A sexual abuse survivor who had eight miscarriages, Shekina ignites audiences with perseverance and hope as she shares her own personal testimony of how she overcame setback after setback to become a flourishing entrepreneur, wife and mother.
On her journey to liberate women and girls, Shekina founded Fierce Girl Empowerment Movement (FGEM), to inspire females to show up in their own lives that they may ignite those watching and taking notes. The Movement includes B2F Girls!™, a nationwide resource for women with a calling to mentor girls; and Tween Star Awards, a national recognition platform for girls who are showing up in various spheres of community, academia, innovation, philanthropy, character, entrepreneurship and athletics.
Shekina holds a B.A. (1999) in French, an M.S.A. (2004) in School Administration--both from North Carolina Central University--and an Ed.S. (2009) in Educational Leadership from North Carolina State University, where she is now a doctoral candidate. A Certified Life, Youth, Parent and Image Coach--as well as a Certified and Licensed Educator and School Administrator--Shekina employs her depth of knowledge and experience to help both individuals and organizations to gain clarity and make an impact in their areas of influence.
Aside from helping women and girls to show up, Shekina enjoys summer beaches, make-up and jewelry parties, family time and vanilla chai avec crème.
Her ideal audience includes youth summits, girls'/women‘s groups, conferences, workshops, and retreats.
